Basketball PEI is in the process of hiring a new Executive Director/Technical Director. The Executive Director is Basketball PEI’s senior staff person, and as such, is responsible for ensuring that all orders and resolutions of the Board of Directors are carried out in addition to ensuring that all required day-to-day operational and administrative activities are completed. Under the role of Technical Director, the successful candidate is also responsible for the planning, organization, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of all development and educational programs for coaches and athletes at all levels. The Executive Director/Technical Director reports directly to the President of Basketball PEI and is accountable to the Executive and to the Board of Directors. Compensation includes an annual salary of $42,000, access to a cost-shared healthcare insurance plan, a monthly cell phone allowance, and reimbursement of work-related expenses.
Basketball PEI is looking for self-motivated individuals with strong administrative and organization skills, good interpersonal skills, an ability to recruit and motivate a volunteer workforce, and a passion for the game of basketball. Priority will be given to applicants with a University Degree, although consideration will also be given to those with a college diploma in a relevant field or comparable work experience. Preference will also be given to individuals who have obtained the NCCP Train to Compete designation for basketball or those prepared to obtain it within the next 1-2 years.
